Assistant Choreographer

Monica Ania Prociuk Hawton… is a dancer and choreographer from the Central Coast with 16 years of dance experience. She is trained in all styles ranging from Jazz to Burlesque to Polish Folk. Monica also specialises in Ballroom, Latin, Commercial Heels and Hip Hop.

At the age of 15, Monica was inspired to follow in her parent’s footsteps and began Ballroom. She began learning Ballroom (Standard Modern and Australian New Vogue) from her father, whom also competed with her as her first dance partner and placing many competitions thereafter. She further expanded into Latin American and competed with her coach, Stefano Olivieri in ProAm competitions, also placing.

Monica has trained at many studios with great mentors including Stefano Olivier’s (DanceXS), Steven Correa, Darren Disney (D3 Darren Disney Dance), Chrissele J Amarante (Baila Muestra) and Aric Yegudkin (MOVE by Aric & Masha).

Monica has a Diploma of Dance (Elite Performance) which elevated her love of choreography, performing and fusing various dance styles.

In 2018, Monica completed her Certificate III in Education Support where she quickly learnt how to use her dancing experiences to help both kids and adults.

The year after in 2019, Monica was finally diagnosed with Autism and ADHD.  Using her diagnosis to her advantage, Monica soon found a way to use dance, choreography and performing as her therapy and a way to express herself. She hopes to one day help others like her and show the therapeutic and expressive ways of dance. Monica has a unique way of breaking down choreography to teach all levels.
